Hi all-

Looking for advice on some locations within an hour, 90 minutes-ish of Oakland that would be decent to hit with a float tubin' friend tomorrow. Aiming for lakes that aren't EBMUD. Maybe Shadow Cliffs or Quarry, but we'd like to try something we've not been to yet if there's something that fits the bill.

We could also happily ditch this plan and shoot for some surf casting for perch outside of SF (hardly strictly bluegrass this weekend could make that a jungle).

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Ron

Give Quarry Lakes in Fremont a try.  I see a lot of float tubers there who do well.

I think that's a good backup plan. He's never been there, and it's a pretty good size for a float tube. Good lake for my wee inflatable too.
