This is not exactly a fishing related post but I am super excited that after 3 years of looking we have finally closed on a house in Idaho where I am from. We have our own private lake right out of the backyard for bass and crappie fishing. We are only minutes from the big lake which has just about every freshwater species you can imagine. There are more mountain lakes to hike into than I will probes never get to do. There is lots of good hunting of all kinds. Pretty much an outdoor paradise. We most likely won't move for another year but when we do the one thing I will miss dearly is the ocean fishing. I attached a couple maps of the area.  One of the small lake our house is on and then another expanded view of the general area.

That's awesome.  The potato museum has the largest Pringle chip.  Ok that's about all I remember when cutting through.  Wife wanted to move out there but I decided I can visit there and live next to the ocean.

Congrats on your new place.

Ha, I never made it to the potato museum when I lived there. I probably won't make it there when I move back either. I will definitely have to hit the Washington and Oregon coast at least a couple times a year for some good saltwater fishing. There is a lake not far from the house that has some good sized chinook in it. I've seen a lot in the 10-15 pound range. I will have to go after them sometime not to long after we get back up there.

Congrats! I'm in Elk, Wa. 1 1/2 hours from your place towards Spokane. Let me know when you get up here.

Congrats!  Might see you up there in a few years.  I've been looking at that area recently myself.  Who needs the ocean with all the monster fishing opportunities with less than a 3 or 4 hours drive in any direction?
