Coyote Lake Friday. Company welcome will monitor channel 69. The lake has been closed to PB traffic for a while the water is low. This lake has a lot of large bass. Please if you go practice catch and release.

What exit do I take coming from the 101 North??

The exit off 101 is Leavesley road where all the outlet stores are take the exit east and follow the signs.

Adam I havent been to Sherman in a while but I have been using the bass boat to locate some good water and fish where I can get the kayak in from the shore I got a couple of places so far. Friday the 23rd Ill be on the Delta looking again.

I want to see how low the water level is so i know whether
to stop by Coyote Lake on my way up north.

 

They wont stock until it is at least 15000 acre feet. Its at 7100 now. I just look at the plants. It is on the schedule for the 26th yea.

I'm in for Friday, too.  Should be there around 8.  See you guys there.

They can't fill the lake completely. It is on a fault line and a major earthquake could potentially cause a lot of damage.

Wish I could join you guys. I'm considering going there on Sunday though...so I'll be anxiously awaiting your reports!

Sky I got that information for WesternBass.com It was posted by Chris Crockett, Sr park ranger at Coyote.
Look under the reports, South Bay, Coyote lake. I personally do not know what the surface arce is.

An acre-foot of water = 1 acre (surface area) * 1 foot (depth). It's a measure of volume. So a lake with 635 surface acres, that had an average depth of 23.5 feet would contain 15,000 surface acres of water.
