Always on the prowl for a cool looking and reasonably price jig.  Found these at bass pros saltwater site.  Pretty nice for the price considering they come pre-rigged with stinger hooks.  Basically a butterfly rip-off at 1/2 the price.  3 1/2 oz is also my favorite weight, and the finish looks good too.  Gonna have to give these a go.

See em all

Sweet.

Check out all the different variations on the butterfly jig at this store. He sells stingers for them too.

I purchased a couple different sets from him yesterday. 5 - 5 oz. and 5 - 3 oz., works out to about 4 bucks/jig including shipping. Has anyone ever tried these?

I haven't tried them yet, but I bought several from him two weeks ago.  Super nice guy to deal with and the jigs look great.

Yep, these jigs look like the really deal - well made, great finish. Don't know what the fish will think of these things but they look absolutely awesome. I can't wait to test them out.

Let us know how productive they are (or aren't). What color patterns did you go for?

These jigs look great!  Mine just arrived!

I ordered some of those jigs too.  5 knife jigs 3.5 oz/6" and 4 blade jigs 5.25oz/6.25" w/assist hooks - $40 shipped for all 9.  The guy seems very cool.  Can't wait to get them.

I also picked up 12 sweet looking hand-tied bucktail/teaser flies (with eye) on size 5/0 gamakatsu hook for $11.50 shipped.  I am figuring on using them as shrimp flies above a main RF lure.

I have found 9" grooved-back swimbait bodies in green glitter or solid white or chartreuse, 5 for about $9 shipped.  Not very cheap, but the big ones never seem to be.  They are billed as extra soft - I am guessing this means extra-destroyable, too.  Not sure if I will get those, but I like the size.

Yeah, Brian you sure did it up good there.  I wish Big Hammer or Megabait did the 7-9" bodies. Not that I could afford them, if they did....

big hammer used to do 7" bodies, I have some in green back and rootbeer redfleck and they are great.

I have used a saltwater fly (deceiver) as teaser and it works real well and pretty durable. sinks easily
unlike big plastic.

well, when in the mood those rockfish hit anything it's all about durability and convenience.

Thanks for the intel J!  After googling every iteration possible of big hammer 7 inch, I was able to find 2 molds still available in 7" - i picked up the green hitch.  Prism trout was the only other mold left in 7".
6" - 4 per pack, $5.60 ($1.40 ea)
7" - 3 per pack, $6 ($2 ea)
I'll report back on the diff. between 7 and the new 6 (which might be the new 7 anyway, 'cause it has the tail going well past 6").
This is online at nationwidetackle.com, and shipping was $3, no tax.

Charkbait.com (socal) also has some nice looking 7" and larger swimbaits.  They are good people.
