Newbie here..nice to meet everyone!

Just purchased a vacation rental in Guerneville near the Russian River and will be picking up my 1st kayak tomorrow morning (Perception Tribe 13.5). I currently live in the City but have been staying nearly every weekend by the River.

Love to fish but new to kayak fishing.  Spent my youth in Michigan fishing inland lakes.  Excited to get back into it and would love to meet people that can show me the ropes. 

I'd like to learn from you NorCal Anglers so I can feel a bit more confident on what rods, reels, lines, lures, locations, techniques etc..etc you guys are using.

If you're looking for someone to go fishing or paddle with don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!  Bought my 2 yaks from SJ today and made it up to the Russian River safe and sound.  Can't wait for the morning to drop them in the water!
