mine hasn't cracked in two, but does have a crack.  i put duct tape below and clear tape on the topside.  it seems to be holding.  i got a spare in case it falls apart.

since yours is in two pieces, i would just get a new one.

Step 1 - Clean up Hawg Trough edges with sandpaper, use a straightline and exacto knife to score the trough along hash marks, approximately 1 1/2" on both sides of the break.
Step 2 - Gently place painters tape along the scored hash marks, to prevent it from cracking.
Step 3 - Cut out the broken crack pieces, thereby making the trough 3" shorter.
Step 4 - Carefully glue the trough back together, and back it with some sort of plate on the rear, either aluminum or wood.
Step 5 - Continue using the trough like normal, in addition to a second trough so that you can measure your fish twice for accuracy.
Step 6 - Submit all fish pictures to online kayak fishing tournament or in person fishing tournaments.

Sincerely,
Andrew Shephard

glue/goo/adhere a couple of long wooden dowels, into the slots underneath. Both sides of the trough, the entire length of the trough.

it will also make it float. I use door, foam weather striping in the grooves to make it float.

In addition you can glue a wooden yardstick to the top which adds more floatation and allows measuring longer fish.. :smt002

You could always win GS tournie, and have a redwood one hand made by LoletaEric!
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Get some G-5 G-Lock Blu-Glue. it's used for arrow fletching but that stuff is NAILS on plastic.
Becky cracked the veggie tray in the refrigerator. Used the Blu-Glu and you'd never have known it ever cracked.
Been holding up for well over a year now with no issues at all.
And yea, run a couple of dowels in the recesses on the back.
