Just picked up this new ride. Ocean kayak Trident 13. Bought as a second yak to try from the surf, instead of my hobie mirage as well in hopes that I can get my 72 yr young Dad on some lake fishing.

Seller is a great dude. Excellent price as well as he threw in a ff, paddle, wheels and a brand new net. Said he tried kayaking and says he wasn't comfortable in the ocean. Mentioned he fell out and that was it for him. Didn't want to go into a long story about my adventure.
Really like the idea of the underside molding for the transducer. Not sure if that is factory, but there is a dry bag stored up in the front for ff battery. The small storage area for the ff placement. Looks to serve well as a splash guard as well as shade to see screen when its bright outside.

Cant believe how light it is compared to my Hobie. The rod storage/ fish hatch .  :smt007

Nice.  I would love a lighter yak but paddling just destroys my upper body so guess I just have to limit surf launches.  Have fun with your dad.
