Spearfishing Favorites

Haven't posted many reports recently so thought I would make a video of some of my favorite fish and surprises that I came across so far in 2016.   

Nice compilation, Duane, good looking fish, great variety!

The whale encounter looked cool. I dunno about the furbags, I don't like them close around me!

I definitely put some hours in for the Halibut.  I kept thinking I should just bring my fishing pole, but then realized its hit and miss with the line guys also and end up jumping in.

Nice score on the butt  the whale and harbor seal interactions with their young were priceless.

The baby came up to me and saw my big fins and thought I was his daddy.  He came up to my face and wrapped flippers around me and mom was saying that's not your daddy, get over here.  No really that's not your daddy.  She was trying to nudge him away but he kept swimming right back.

Frisky was an understatement.  What you can't see in the video was that my hand was all the way up in his gills and locked in like one of those one way Chinese finger traps. 

Had his back half in between my legs and I was giving it my all to hold him still so I could brain him.  He was a fighter and he pulled the flopper partially out and that's why at the end the spear looked like it was coming out of his mouth.  He almost got away. 

So epic, great fish and awesome footage. Always love watching spearfishing videos. Cant wait to get my own mount, and need to go up to mendo! Looks awesome
