I was just on a party boat that fished this area today and the salmon bite was steady at 50 feet. Limits for all.  Slide ranch was where most of the action was.  My question is how to access this area in my yak.  I'm looking for a protected launch but maybe hot possible there.

Slide Ranch is only about a mile north of Muir Beach, which is fairly protected. But to get to 50 feet of water you have to paddle a mile offshore.

That area is accessible from Muir or Bolinas. We had a good crew out in that area on Saturday, and we all launched from Bolinas.
