I bought a 2014 AI last week, and once my wife found out how much it cost, she told me that I have to sell one of my kayaks or she's going to leave me. It's a tough choice, but she does take up less space than a kayak, and she cooks (sometimes), so I've decided to sell my G2.

The G2 is ultra stable and comfortable, and a great multi-tasker which you can paddle or pedal (with mirage drive). I've added a Hobie mast receiver, so you can sail this one too. If you don't want to sail, you can replace the mast receiver with a Scotty flush mount (the holes were drilled to be an exact match). In addition, I've installed a Hobie twist-and-stow rudder, 4 Scotty flush mounts, and made a few other minor mods. I think it's all been done right.

I’ve only used it 4 times, and 3 of those were just testing things out on Lexington, so it’s like new.

The picture in this post shows the kayak and the parts that come with it (seat, paddling insert, and mirage drive insert).

It doesn't come with a mirage drive or sail, but I'll post some pictures below to show what the kayak looks like with pedals and sail.

I’m asking $1250, OBO. I’m located just off of 17 between Los Gatos and Scotts Valley. PM me if you’re interested.

Sail is not included, but here's what it looks like with the sail.

Can you measure the width of the kayak behind the seat and stern? I need to see if the G2 fits on my roof rack next to my hobie. If so I might be very interested. Thanks!

Almost forgot... here's short video I made. The wind was perfect when I arrived, but I wanted to test out the pedals first and foolishly pedaled to the far end of the lake. Then the wind died, so the sailing isn't too exciting:

Not sure if there is an official measurement on the Santa Cruz kayak website, but I measure about 34" at the widest.

I measured somewhere a bit past 35. Maybe my thumb was in the way.

My bad!  I meant to ask him about negotiation with his wife.  I already got my G2 and no more kayak buying for me.
