Pretty Good incoming Tide Sunday and looks like the weather is going to calm down.
Erik says it's prime time so if the wind calms I'm gonna go. Launch at about 7, don't forget to get your Sturgeon card.
Does anybody know if you can park and launch at the Baitshop?
Wind looking pretty good http://www.iwindsurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=125&siteID=1653&Isection=Forecast+Graphs

Mick, I'd definitely join you for Black point this weekend if I had the WAF.

For anyone interested, here is my recon and game plan for if I were fishing an incoming tide.

If you follow the channel markers toward the bel marin keys, and keep going straight out into the flats instead of hanging a right into the keys, you'll notice a shallow channel that is maybe 2 or 3 feet deeper than the surrounding areas.  When the tide is moving you'll definitely notice turbulence through there and rip lines at the edges of it.  The channel is maybe a hundred or two hundred yards wide.  The edge of the channel is an attractive fishing spot to me, but where I had success last time and other times in prior years, was when I moved out of the channel to the southwest into the shallow flats in 3 or 4 feet of water.

There is a line of dolphins out there (big telephone poles) and I generally use those as a landmark ... around N38 05.952 W122 28.356   The dolphin is about a two mile paddle.

See photo below.

Good luck!

I think I'm in. I plan on fishing in Bodega on Saturday. With the low afternoon tide I can pump some shrimp on my way home.

IF I make it I'm launching from Bullhead and fishing at or near the Honey Hole. Wind and swells permitting. Probably won't make it 'til 8:00 or 8:30AM, though, as I got a UFC get together to go to Saturday night!

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

I want to go, but I have to work. Should I start a pole on whether I should call in sick or go to work? I have only called in sick to work one time and it was in 1996, so they might throw the B.S. flag.

Dan don't call Sick in just say you have some unexpected personnel business that you need to take care of. Let them know in advance so they can cover you, just hope it isn't Andy. :smt003
