For those of you like me who don't pick mushrooms; Costco in Danville has fresh Morels for $7.99 for 1/2 pound package.  Rib Eye steaks with fresh Morels in a red wine reduction sauce are on the menu tonight.

That sounds so good! Nothing better than morels with steak! I will have to check and see if they have it here at Costco in Hayward. I would be surprised as they normally don't have anything super good there.

They must be at most Costcos.  I got 3 packs when I found them here at the Santa Cruz Costco.  Went with morel, asparagus, and bacon pizza as my first dish with them.  Can't go wrong with the steak either!

Check around where your trash cans are. Jan found several of them this spring growing by the trash, who knew?

Where do you live that she found them growing around here? I have found a lot of shaggy manes growing along the where the power lines run through around here and I have found them under deep leaves in people's yards.
