Hey All,

I'm headed up to San Simeon to do some camping with my wife and kids next week. I was checking out the conditions forecast and found this:

I'm going to be there Wednesday-Friday of next week. I'm from So Cal, so I have no idea what the norm is on the Central Coast. Can I count on the wind and swell being calm in the mornings? I was planning on going out on San Simeon Cove/Hearst State Beach & Leffingwell, but now I'm not sure I'll be able to go out at all. Is the cove at San Simeon sheltered enough? Is Magic Seaweed misleading me AGAIN?!
I could really use some local advice.

Best regards,

Dave

Good size SW swell peaking on Wed-Thurs is forecast for next week along with some NW groundswell. Hearst and San Simeon should be producing some nasty shore-pound. Best bet will probably be Leffingwell, but even that might be too heavy. I'd plan on other activities, and Friday looks like it may be your best shot.
Good luck!

Thank you, Soleman! I'll bring my stuff and watch the conditions until Friday. If I have to maybe I'll kayak a little around Morro Bay on the way up or back.
