I've seen them that long, not that fat though.  On the iowa river guys would catch them while catfishing and stack pile them up one the shore.  Once I found they'd made a little log cabin out of dried up carp...

Mooch your right they are under rated here but not in Europe. Its a favorite to fish for. We use ultra lite rods and a smelly dough ball and hang on. Try the perk ponds on Almaden Rd that place is loaded with them.

....yup, Stevens Creek has a carp "hatchery"  :smt003 :smt002 I believe there are more carp in this lake then the red necks that live up on the Stevens Creek hills  :beat

Your right again. When we were in high school we would fish Stevens Creek a lot and end up with some large gold fish as well. A carp of a diffrent color.
