Hi everyone! I'll be moving to the Bay Area in July. No experience fishing the west coast, hoping to learn a lot from you guys! Mostly fish for striper on tube and worm here in Boston...looks like I'm gonna need some new techniques.....

Welcome to the madness, left coast style.

Btw, I lived in Worcester, Mass, briefly, although that was a long time ago.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

Welcome Jimmykayak!  What a way to start out in California it took me 40 years to find NCKA and you've already signed up.

Our stripers are smaller, but there's shit loads of them.

Plus living in marin is like being on vacation everyday

Welcome I came to Marin from Springfield after Vietnam in 1969. Miss the home boys but not Springfield. Are you kidding me this is Paradice . The first night here I went to a party at Janis Joplin's house in Madrone Canyon, I was awe struck since. Word of advice don't rip on the pizza here they get defensive about it.lol  drop a p.m. When you get here if you don't have a yak yet I got 2 so I can take you out. I am a big fan of Brad Marchant "the little ball of hate" I had to give up hockey at 58 and had a knee replacement. But forever a Bruins fan. Later

I'm late on the welcome party but welcome! I just joined myself. I'm a college student in Boston so I get to enjoy the Boston falls and the California summers! It won't take long for you to be calling 50* cold, trust me

Welcome!!! You got some great striper areas up near Pacifica but be ready to fight through the crowds!! We use quite similar techniques but mainly top water and kast master / shallow divers do really well!! If you ever feel like venturing south towards Santa Cruz feel free to let me know

Fellow New Englander (RI), if you are true Boston Sports fan be prepared to get ripped for anything Boston Sports. Other than that get used to whining Raider Fans....lol

Get used to overly long drives to hit decent fresh water fishing holes that are naturally occurring.  Unlike NE there isn't a pond every other mile. But I doubt you will find better guys to hang out with and show you the ropes!

Welcome Jimmykayak...I'm in Marin as well and would be happy to meet up when you get out here! Drop me a line or pm me if you have any questions on the area, fishing or otherwise. I've been here several years.
