"Sex herring", is that some type of lure or live/frozen herring?

Keith you better trademark the Sex Herring name and start packaging it before someone steals it!  :smt044

The soon to be trademarked 'sex herring' is brined herring (kosher/rock salt & water) with blue dye agent

I agree with the trademark! Awesome, thanks for the update. Couldn't find anything online about it.

Sex herring refers to the herring being caught during the spawn. They go full weiner during this time and will jizz everywhere.  I think the sexual frustration and hormones do something to them. Who knows...they are really effective catching fish.  :smt007 :smt007

Hahaha, that's funny!  :smt044

I meant the bait you were seeing in the water btw, but thanks for the full rig setup!  In the bay I definitely will try three way trolling, since it's fairly shallow and poor visibility, the flash from the dodger would be a good attractant!

Nice report.

Good to hear the cone zone works, have one but hardly ever use it. Can you be more specific as to where you caught the fish :).

Saw that, was just joking about how precise the location was shown with the bulls eye.

Thanks!

Went out at 2:00 during the tide change hooked up in less than an hour. Used the same 3 way rig as previously discussed with an anchovy. Thankfully she was right at 22 inches. Fished for another hour or so but no luck. Hooked this one about halfway down the rock wall and about 75-100 yards out. Get it boys!

Great report, Keith! I especially like the satellite data on fishing holes. Not many guys are that generous!
Warning! Retiree; Knows it all and has plenty of time to tell you about it.

one line got tangled and had to cut it. Next line got snagged and was cut. Not a good day. However, some guy was reportedly using a swim bait from the wall in front of the fence area and snagged one over 34in +. Apparently, he didn't have a net and it got away when it came up to the rocks. But you know how fisherman are.......for all we know it could have been a sea slug haha

There is plenty of bait and shorties out at the wall. There are also come big fish in the mix. Chovies or sex herring behind a dodger is still producing. I think there is a big minus tide next week so butt fishing is gonna be hard.
