Hi everybody, I thought the size limit for all rockfish was 15 inches. I was told by a guy in the Bait store at Pillar point that there is no size limit on rockfish caught from shore. I was also told there is a 12 inch size limit. I see in the regs it is 15 inches for cabs and 22 inches for lings but I can't find the size limit for rockfish. Does anybody know what the size limit really is for the rockfish? Thanks!

No difference in size limit from shore to open water that I know of. 12in for greenling also.

Great info... Thanks guys! So I guess no size limit means I could have kept all the 14 3/4 inch rock fish that I kept throwing back because I thought they weren't big enough to keep. Oh well...
