Hobie AI Owner .....

I read somewhere(now forgot) that the older Hobie AI has corrosion where AKA meets plastic.
They change the metal in year 20xx.

My question is 2011 Hobie AI a good buy and safe from corrosion?

Not really.  They use stainless hardware to connect aluminum parts so corrosion tends to happen there.

I read that something has been done to correct the problem. I swear I see it somewhere.

From my boating days, I remember that stainless & aluminum have a reaction that promotes corrosion.  I remember seeing an old thread by Great Bass 2 about his yearly corrosion cleaning efforts on his AI.  Bout the extent I know
