Sac port Tues 4/26

I'm heading to the port in the morning around 7.  Who's with me?

Wish I could. Never been but it sure sounds fun!!! goodluck Sam! I just read an old post Re: the Port and it has sparked my interest in the area. I loves me some Striper action.

I'll probably be out there around 9. However the wind may make it a short trip for me. Good luck to everyone though!!!

Next time Dave.  As for the wind I heard reports that it will be around 6 mph until later in the day.  That's good enough for me.  Hope to see ya there.

My brother in law ended up getting a couple of nice keepers after I was off the water. Low tide.

I launched at 7 and set about looking for some bass.  I worked the Washington Lake area and around the sailing/rowing club before heading to the cement plant.  There I finally found some fish that wanted to play.  I met up with Mattcando(spelling?) and his friend John.  Nice seeing you out there.  They had little luck at that point but were working hard at it.  I worked the area a little more and ran into Malifunction (Ted) and his bro in law Javier.  Great meeting you guys as well.  It's always nice to put faces with members names.  I finally ended the day around the bottom of the tide and headed home.  My final take was only 4 small bass around 12 inches each.  All fish came on a blue/silver Rat L Trap.  The stripers are in there but I couldn't find em!  I'll post up a photo or two as soon as I figure out how to move my photos over to my computer.

Thanks for the report, Sam. We have to remember that the fishing is the fun part and catching is the bonus. Still, a few lips stretched is good.

I got my fingers tightly crossed for salmon season. The last year we had water, 2012, I caught my first shiny salmon on September 1st. We could have water, looks like we might, but with the way the spawning beds have been taking a beating, we may not have the fish.. Since I live about a mile from the Port, I have high hopes..
