Just wanted to say thanks to Bill ( FFC ). He gifted me a kamprite tent cot with rainfly. It was gifted to him by Capt Morgan . Thanks to you as well Capt  Morgan .

The tent has several clips that hold the top of the tent to the outer bars that also hold the small poles that elevate the roof that are broken.

As soon as I got home I put a call and email out to Kamprite. Drew from Kamprite responded immediately and asked for my address and that he would send me new clips.  :smt001  Would like to thank Drew as well. I informed him that I would spread the word of the great customer service.

Will take a little work undoing the stitched area and re-stitching with new clips. But I will be saving 200.00 bucks .

Plus Bill updated the software on my new lowrance elite 5 and demo'd some of the more important features . Man was that a good day or what.

Hope you enjoy the Beer , Bill .

Anyone own and use one of these cots ?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oversize-Tent-Cot-Camping-Rainfly-Kamp-Rite-Hiking-Bed-Sleeping-Outdoor-Gear-/221996982777?hash=item33b00d21f9:g:in4AAOSwNSxVTxOA

Looking for pros and cons on this before I decide on purchasing one. Looking to use at GSX .

Thanks

Alex

I have no experience with that tent cot, but both Sarge and I both have expierence with this tent that goes on a mil spec cot : the lightfighter

http://litefighter.com/product/litefighter-1-shelter-system/  I can speak highly of it, well made, light weight, can be set up on the ground, on a cot, with or without the fly. Combine that with a surplus three in one sleeping bag and a pillow and you will sleep well.

I'll have electricity and a small battery charger at my site.  Not enough capacity to charge a bunch of fishfinders but I'm sure I could accommodate a battery for a CPAP machine.  I'm in either #9 or #10, next to Hobie-Dave.

Love the NCKA Family. I have a pretty large deep cell battery that I use for a electric trolling motor. Sounds like it will do the job for a few days. Cant believe I never thought to do a search for this. DUH !
I actually saved the old machine I had . Can use that cord for camping.
I am also carrying a small battery charger as well. Will stop by if need a charge Martin.
Thanks Jeff and Martin  :smt008.

I will be there Thursday morning wit da crew. Probably do some hiking around for some red tail perch and warm up for Friday.

It makes a huge difference on a good nights rest with my cpap. Otherwise you would think there is a grizzly in the camp .

Good luck on the Tournament you all . Your gonna need it . I'm feeling lucky Punks .  :smt003

I recently got a cpap lithium ion battery for $250. Figured it's a good investment for camping and backup battery source. I'll be using it for the first time this weekend at gs. It's rated to last up to 3 nights without a humidifier.

So, I'd be interested in hearing your opinion now that you've had the cot for a while.

I have a Tent Cot. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002MFTO44/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My thoughts.

I'm 5'7" and 275lbs. I travel with my dog who sleeps at my feet. THe tentcot sets up fast and easy. The rain fly could use a little improvement, but overall does the job. When my dog (15lbs) gets restless it can be a little tight, but overall I am very happy with the tentcot. If you are camping alone it's a great way to go. I do travel with a backup tent though.

I've had mine for about 10 years and it is really good if it is muddy or rocky etc. Bulldog---Alex was asking originally and I'm wondering how he liked his.
