Only got a few quick hours in this afternoon but it was so nice out there it was definitely worth the time.

This was my first time fishing off the Hobie i11s & I had a great time with no issues. It was awesome to be able to carry the kayak, seat, & paddle together with one hand.

I moved the seat to the farthest forward of the three available positions in order to have more room for a milk crate & rectangular 6 gallon bucket for fish. The bucket worked good as sort of a removable tankwell & at only about 3lbs extra weight.

Next I need to figure out how & where to add a combo FF/GPS. I'm thinking about something just forward of the drive for the head unit & battery. Not sure how I wanna do the transducer yet. I'd like to have it in the center but I don't want to have the wires exposed running past the drive to seat area.

I did manage to stand up out in the swells but there was a little too much swell/chop/boat wakes to be comfortable enough to cast standing up. At least today anyways. Maybe after I get more hours in but definitely on a flat calm lake it will be easy.

No monsters today. Actually did ok though for fishing blind & not going far afield. 3lings, 5rockies, & the cab & verm over 3 hours OTW. My main goal was to figure out the new Hobie. Got to say hello to Daniel, Andy, Steve, Joe, Ron, & Rich also.

We saw Jim peddling out as we were coming in and we had to check out the new contraption! It looks like Jim has a handle on it as he showed us he could stand up on it with a little swell out there. Great seeing you out there buddy!
