I haven't welded or used metal like that in years but now I know where to get some in case I have a Tote moment and want to create things.

You gotta be REALLY careful.  It is addictive.

Hello ... my name is Bill and I am a metal addict.

The addiction is real, very very real. I love to design, fabricate, and build custom bikes. BBQ gear, household metal work, weapons, etc etc.

Looking forward to building a stainless steel tower in the AI tank well that will have a place for the Yeti 20 cooler to sit on, rod and gear holders and most important if a guide mount on top of the tower to kick the sail lines above my head.

Mechanical shooter with windage and elevation adjustments.
If your bow is tuned right it should put the arrow in the same home every time. Takes out the human factor.
If it doesn't hit the same hole, you can find out what needs to be tweaked.
It's between $1200 and $1500 new.

Sweet project!!  Put some wheeleez on that thing and you might hit something next time you go huntin' :smt044 :smt044 :

Nice work bro.  Sparks some ideas for a custom bike to use at Burning Man.  Are you Rig or Might welding the frame?  Looks like standard steel tubing; right? Weight isnt an issue to me.  Tire size is perfect.  Where are you souring your tires/wheels?  Do you jig the frame or just clamp off flat to a welding table?  Are you machining or buying the head tube and bottom bracket?

Thanks for the inspiration.  We gotta hook up sometime soon & talk shop.  I'm just south of Gilroy.

My welding table is 5x5x1/2" steel plate very nice and level. I roll, bend, cut  my steel round or square tubing. Get my top tubes, down tubes, head tube and bottom bracket in place on the table. Tack weld them all together, once I'm happy with all measurements and angles I transfer to the frame jig, align, and start working on all the chain and seat stays with rear dropouts locked in place on the jig.

Nice welding plate.  I have one that is about 4x4x1" aluminum and one steel that is about 3x5.  Tig or Mig welded?  Head tube & bottom bracket ... machined?  Those are the only two components that I envision needing machining for bearings, etc

I do both Tig and Mig. Bottom brackets and head tubes I take my time and Tig. I sources my BB's and Headtubes from Paragon Machine Works in Richmond. They will have everything you need there. www.paragonmachineworks.com. You can order online and if you get order in by 230/3pm you receive it Next Day.

Anyone know of a place to buy small pieces of aluminum , sheeting & angle, in the Stockton / Manteca area.

I'm installing a side console to the KLamath boat I am renovating and may need some flat stock to adjust the console I ordered to the curve of the gunnel.
