So I got a new dive watch and wanted to try it out. I ended up with the Cressida Drake. Was going to go with the F10 but the places I would have gotten it from didn't have it in stock.

Before the watch I was using my float line with marks every 10ft. And would say i was diving the 15-20 ft. Once I got to 30 ft but that was just to see if u could touch the bottom.

Left the house around 645 with plans to go to SWS, but plan again to look at coral st as back up plan. I get to SWS and conditions look awsome.  I head out to the right( this time with the GoPro) where I dove the week prior. Dive for a while( a couple of hours) without seeing much, the vis wasn't bad but not great a pretty murky  20ft

But working with the watch was really nice because I could keep an eye on my surface intervals. Also my depths.  In this area I was diving 15-34ft with a max time of 58sec.. When I hit 31ft it felt like a milestone!

I decide to move and push depth a little further because I was feeling pretty comfortable I stop in the ocean side if the big Rock in around 40ft hop off just to see if I could do it.. I breathe up and start down it was dark and a little eary and hit a noticeable temperature change, touch the bottom and come back up. Feeling comfortable with the unknown I do it again 41 ft and was able to swim around a little on the bottom. That was more piece of mind not hunting.

Left there and went to the left side of the cove where the wash rocks are I shoot three fish in 20 min. Feeling happy I continue in for another hour or so. I see a kelp greenling following it for a while and contemplating if it is legal I make the decision that it is and shoot it. My first greenling, it ended up 14 1/2

I call it a day and head in. When I get to the beach I go to take off the GoPro and I see it is still on..... Not good battery should not have lasted that long. .... Well it does if you are not recording. Lol I'll get it down one of these times.

Nice!!

Yeah the watch is great for watching surface intervals for sure!!

For SWS...Keep exploring and moving around and paddling further away from launch and you will start to find spots that are good and at depths that work for you...when you find those spots remember them and/or mark on GPS. That way when you go out you can hit them one after another and maximize your time on the water.

Congrats again and thanks for sharing!

Great work! Can't beat fresh rockies and sounds like you and your watch are becoming a well oiled machine!
