Steel locking tie down straps

I found these on a surfing website. It's basically some straps wth a steel cable runnung through the middle of them and a locking mechanism at the end used to tie down anything to standard tower racks. This was a big deal for surfers since no rack system really had a feasible way to do this. One comany did come out with some but they could only be used for surfboards. But with these they can be used for anything, even yaks. Only drawback I see is the price, they list retail at $97 for a pair. For most of us I'd guess we'd rather spend much less and go through the pain of all the straps and locks. But if you got the green it seems like a pretty hassle free way to strap it on and go.

Those are pretty cool.I just run a Master cable lock through the scupper hole and loop it around my racks for security.
If I had the money I would buy the pimp Yakima locking racks that Marmite has on his Lexus.
