Does anyone know of a boat launch in Tahoe that's open in the winter?  I've passed by a few on the North Shore this weekend and didn't see any open.  Internet search hasn't been fruitful.

Powerboat or kayak? I know cave rock is open on the Nevada side for powerboats. Double check their website prior to the drive. And a boat inspection is required I believe....

Also if you are looking for powerboat launch on North Shore area or West Shore;
Lake Forest Boat ramp next to Coast Guard Station. This ramp is east of Tahoe City proper.  I believe it is currently open.  http://www.tahoecitypud.com/parksrec/3e_boat_ramp.shtml

 Obexer's in Homewood, Nov 1- April 30 ramp by appointment. Here is link to their website.

If kayak, just about any public access beach.

Yup.  Easy launch from Tahoe City at the Lake Forest boat ramp...
Fish laugh when I paddle by.  Sometimes they laugh so hard they fall on my hook.

Thanks for the info guys.  Looking to launch my sail dinghy when visiting family, no engine and shallow draft, but I don't have a sand dolly, so a beach launch will be tough.  Hoping to find something closer to King's Beach.
