Just saw the ws AirPro phase 3 seat and was curious if anyone has one and what your thoughts are about it. It looks a lot more comfortable than my current seat , reminds me of the Jackson and hobie seats. It's a bit pricey but if it's more comfortable then it may be worth it. Thanks for any input.

Are you talking about this one, http://www.wildernesssystems.com/us/products/airpro-advance-seat or this one, http://www.wildernesssystems.com/us/products/phase-3®-airpro-max-seat

First one, pretty good, second one really good.

Sorry, second link won't work, but you can see that seat on the website.

I have the AirPro Phase 3 in my tarpon and it's a bit of a pain in the butt after an hour or two. I'm currently looking for a cushion to soften it up a bit without raising my CG too much. I think for the price you could probably find a better seat. The Air Pro Phase 3 MAX looks pretty good.

Thanks Rob, I was talking about the second one. Looks like an awesome seat. Does it fit the tightly in the seat groves for the original seat? Looks like a good investment. Stay cool traildad...posted here cause it seems like a place everyone looks at, you saw the post topic, you didn't have to click on it.  :smt006

It fits well in the seat grooves where the original goes. The high/low adjustment is super easy on the water. It also reclines for napping.

I have the phase 3 on the thresher. Loved it when i demoed it, didnt like it after a few hours on the water.  Then i found out the problem was me. I used to paddle more upright, this seat is very comfortable if used correctly, i paddle a little bit more reclined now and hours otw no problem.  There are ALOT of different settings. And the permanently attached seat that folds up with a really low profile is always a plus. One less thing to install everytime, one less thing to worry, one less thing to potentially forget at home.  I got a lot of compliments on it as well.  Hope that helps.

He is looking at the MAX.

Have you tried raising the leg lifter. It will take pressure off of the back and butt.

I use my AirPro Phase 3 in my Tarpon for 8-12 hours without ever getting out of the kayak all the time. My butt is never sore.

I bass fish out of it for hours on end. Was sitting in it for 10 hrs last week before the rain came in and didn't get out once. I tend to adjust myself quite a bit through the day from up right to lounging. I didn't feel any discomfort last week but there I times when my tail bone really kills, especially if I'm out a couple days in a row. The beach chair style seat just looks like it would be less rigid to sit on plus you can high - low it to get a better perspective throughout the day. Thanks for the input, I think it's something that I will have to think about but seems like it would be a good investment.
