And, where can you purchase it in the East-Bay Area? Thanks for any feedback or help. I was thinking of putting this on a Fish N Dive attaching it with two criss-crossed bungees on the deck w/ a short safety, I think? :smt003

Got one it works great. West Marine Products has them. If you print out a page from the internet they will match the price.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

Hey Mike,

I was just in West Marine the other day and they said that the corporate office has dropped the "price-match" policy... something about too many people bringing in bogus print-outs from the web... I guess it's too easy to create a web-page these days and rip them off.  Anyway, they wouldn't match the price on my VHF...  I didn't verify any of this with the office... it's just too easy to buy something online and pay way less than WM charges.  Besides, they never seem to have anything I want or need in stock... they end up ordering it anyway.

The Oakland is closing it's overflow store either this week or next. I bought a Lowrance X51 which retailed for $149.77 for 50% off. I believe they had the portable on the shelf as of two days ago. It is worth the trip. Frank
