Took my first trip out on my yak today after class. low tide  at 2pm, hit the water at 1.

was using a 3 way flasher setup but had troubles controlling my speed so switched to a 4oz torpedo and striper rig with anchovy.

Caught a 21" Halibut drifting across from the navy ships, another angler who was trolling by boat showed me his 30" Halibut and told me he had caught a few shakers as well. He had been trolling since 7am.

Fished until 4:30 and headed back. Had a great time and was nice to get used to the characteristics of my yak in calm water.

Way to go DK! :smt006 The last time I fished the wall was when we had the halibut tourney there. I hope we can have the tourney back soon.
