..........back to FishingRob. The race car took a semi-terminal turn on Sunday and I verified it tonight. Trashed some pistons and a high dollar set of cylinder heads. Since I self fund the operation it is time for a break.

Time to chase big AOTY fish and not think about racing this year.

Sorry to hear Rob! What caused this, have you determined that or still looking?

 Lost oil pressure in mine in November, still sitting around awaiting a decision on it's future!

Valve seat broke and it cascaded from there.

Bummer. I know how that feels, been there, done that. LOL.

Racing and even just track days are expensive. I had to completely drop that hobby a while ago, specially when kids' colleges are expensive, too. My wife is happier now since she gets to benefit from my catches when fishing.

After duck season of course........that sucks, but I am sure you will find another wrecked Prius you can steal the guts out of and be back in no time!

Idk about this one, but close. Used to race my rat truck in the 1/4 mile. Miss the smell of race fuel.
Had a Caddy break a valve stem once. The piston was GONE! Just a con rod and wrist pin. Two huge holes in the cylinder wall. Found pieces of ring in one of the cylinders on the other side of the engine! What a mess.
Don't get discouraged, I'm sure you'll find a way to get it going again! Good luck!

You haven't changed your name yet so I am sure you will fix it.  Fishing is expensive but that racing is out of control.  Maybe Wilderness will sponsor your car if you paint the car to look like one of there kayaks.
