Hi everyone,
After 6 months of saving i was finally able to buy myself a kayak! I went with a second hand 10' lifetime as a starter and have been browsing the forum for beginner safety tips and advice. I have been an avid fisherman since i was a child and am excited to try out this new dynamic of fishing. Ive purchased a Lowarance elite 2X and am looking to try it in the upcoming rockfish season. Looking forward to hearing stories and contributing my own.

Best,
Dylan Young

Welcome! Check the forum for safety tips and equipment as well as good fishing tips. There is also a great crabbing entry for newbies like you and I.
Warning! Retiree; Knows it all and has plenty of time to tell you about it.

Welcome kayak fishing is the most fun you'll have without taking your clothes off ... Unless your into naked kayaking  :smt044

I must be doing something wrong---I always take my clothes off when kayak fishing. But, I do then put on a wetsuit...
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?
