Hit my favorite ditch today for a 3 hr. troll sesh.

Another warm and sunny day with a bit of a breeze were the conditions.

Pulled or casted a JSR the whole time - in the 4 times I've trolled in the past two weeks, it's the only lure that has caught fish. The troll bite was on today, for shakers. I hooked 5 fish, smallest was 13" largest 17". All were hard fighting fish, lost one at the boat and LDR'd one.

Thinking about hitting it again tomorrow - 9:30 - 12:30 - Barge Canal Access

Company always welcome!

Probably a dumb question but what is a JSR?

The lure that's on the cheek. Jointed shad rapala.

Nice looking stripers Tony! Can't wait to hit up the port soon.

Always fun catching stripers
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Nice seeing Tony. It was like you were there and then you were gone. Way to get some!
Fish were definitely stacked up in the usual spots but shaker city for sure. I switched up to light tackle/hair jigs and had some fun with 1/2 dozen shakers and a couple lmb. Good times.

Well done Tony.  The fish don't always have to be keepers....just big enough to pull some line and keep you interested.  Nice 3 hour cruise Gilligan. :smt044

Went out there today - totally different story - no bites, no fish - for me... :smt044
Did NOT bring the lucky Jointed Shad Rap.
A paddling workout and photos are what I caught today - Life is good! :smt001

Thanks for the reports! The port seems to be a tough spot to learn.

LoL, true!
The Port is great water to get your basic skills on, with unlimited paddling potential.
There are some kind of fish there all the time, and many different ways to catch them - or not.
Plus it's pretty close to me :smt003

Anytime you can paddle without those race team kayaks getting in your way is a good day on the port.
Great pics Tony!
