My 1st radio show interview on the KBFK 1530AM Bob Simms Outdoor Show

I did my first live radio talk show interview this past Saturday morning at 6:30am on the KFBK 1530AM "Outdoor Show" with host Bob Simms out of Sacramento.  I got invited to talk about kayak fishing and the upcoming Fred Hall Show.

I was on for about 7 minutes answering basic questions about kayak rigging, outerwear, and even sturgeon fishing.  Apparently, Bob also owns a couple kayaks and has fished Lake Folsom and other mountain lakes.

Afterwards, I listened to the show on their podcast.  It was weird to hear myself talk... and for some dorky reason I said the word "absolutely" at least a dozen times.  I'm sure it was nervousness.

One other funny thing....   Bob kept referring to me as "President of the NorCalKayakAnglers Association" even after I corrected him in during the pre-interview.  I was going to correct him live on the air, but I didn't want embarrass and distract him.  Besides, being referred to as  "president" had a nice ring to it.  Sorry Bill... I just got promoted.

Well... I got the invitation only the night before.  Plus... I wasn't sure I was going to be able to leave my work at the airport early enough to do the show.  Luckily, they were very cool about it.

I downloaded and listened to your segment.  It was fantazstic chuck!  The host is pretty good at the interview process, and you really covered some territory, man!

To my ears, you did not sound nervous at all.  all I can say is: prepare yourself for interviews on the LGF show once Salmon season starts!
