Any recommendations?

My searches revealed Sac shops and lots of recommendations for Alantani.com but all the links where broken...out of business?

I have a Shimano and a Penn that could use some help before GSX.

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

James, here is Alan Tani's forum. He is also on Facebook. I am picking up some reels on Monday that he worked on this week. If you know anyone going to the Forebay tomorrow, have him/her bring your reels and I will get them to Alan.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Mike does Great work! He has rebuilt everything from our Tuna reels, Avets, and a couple of Revo Toros. He explains the repairs needed and has great cost saving ideas such as using hybrid ceramic coated steel bearings rather than costly full ceramic bearings.

You can drop the reels off at the Rohnert Park UPS (between Safeway and CVS) store and call him to say they are there. He does a follow up phone call for an estimate of repairs. Nice Guy too!

I've had good luck sending reels back to Shimano for the ~$30 "service".

I call it "service" because on several occasions they've just shipped me brand new reals instead of servicing the well used  ones I sent in.

(You results may vary...)
