WTB: 1Lb bullet weight

I need several 1lb bullet weight. Let me know.

Hey Chet, I don't think that is a bullet weight.  The bullet weights that come to mind are the ones shaped like a bullet used for bass fishing, but I could be wrong. 

What you planning on using those for?  Diving?

Yeah, this is the bullet weight in " Diving term".  I use these to make some standing crab buoys.
Last time it took me forever to find my buoys when my FF battery dies.

Would these work Chet or too heavy?

Those would be on my diving belt, they are too nice to use for crab buoy.

You know, if you are a DIY'er, you could make a 2-part mold from cardboard boxes and bondo, clamp the two parts together and drill out a cavity and pour them yourself? Bondo molds are supposed to last up to 30-50 castings?

Why not steel pipe? Lead may be too heavy just to make a buoy vertical.

or PVC filled with quickrete.  Jeremy's pipe idea is probably easiest.

Wanna not just use a top shot of leaded line? kill two birds with one stone?

A friend of mine does the pool noodle with weight, it stands out and take very little space.

I love my standing buoys that I made, so much easier to spot.  My first version I just used 2Liter bottles and filled them up with like a couple cups of sand inside.  Then when deploying, just had to turn them upside down and shake a bit to get the sand to settle at the bottom and they stood up just fine.  My second idea has worked out well too, using the 1-Liter sized Gatoraid bottles, with an eye hook bolt and a bunch of washers through the cap and sealed up with Goop.

Just put the pipe inside 1/3 of a pool noodle.

I wish it can stand up with that weight. Need at least 2lb weight.

Use regular buoys and find them with your GPS. If your pots are weighted properly, they will be exactly where you left them. Another plus is, the few crab thief's we have around won't see an easy target either.
