Tuolomne River Float 2/15

Hey all!  I floated the Tuolomne river today with CPH91 and his girlfriend between La Grange and Turlock Lake.  The weather was perfect.  The bite was a bit slow at first and picked up later in the afternoon.  I hooked into this 27.5", 11lbs striper about half way down to our pull out.  This guy nailed a 3" jerk bait in brown trout pattern in about 12ft of water.  I was using a ML rod with 10lb braid and a 6lb fluoro leader.  Took about 5min to get him to the yak and in the net.  We caught a handful more largemouth between the three of us, but this was the only striper for the day.  Sadly there was some operator error with the GoPro and the video did not make it.  We wrapped up the day with some striper tacos and a few beers.  Tight lines!

Nice fish! I have only bank fished the river above Oakdale at Orange Blossom. All I caught was yellow crawdads.....

Nice striper! Always love a good river float, was just thinking today im overdue.
