New kayak angler from Modesto

Hi everyone! My name is David and last year I started getting into bass fishing and not long after felt the need to get on the water so I got a cheap 10' kayak from sports authority. Now that spring is aproaching I've been feeling the need to get out there. When I first got it I was just sticking to fox grove in Modesto because it's close. I was wondering if you guys could point me towards some good launch sites for kayaks. Yesterday I parked at the country club in Stockton and got one decent LMB. Just want to find some good places to go! Would love to meet up with people too! Looking forward to being part of this site! Looks like a cool community. Thanks!!

Welcome!  If I lived in Modesto, I'd be fishing Don Pedro, New Melones, or Lake McClure/McSwain A LOT!  Good luck out there and we'll be looking forward to your fishing reports.

Yesterday I parked at the country club in Stockton and got one decent LMB.

You get that bass on the kayak? 

Jason/Str8Fishin is right on the money.  Being from Mo-town, there are lots of places to catch bass near Modesto.  My uncle fishes Moccasin Marina and never leaves that Marina cove.  Plenty of bass in there.

The delta isn't too far either.

David, I am in Los Banos, Dont forget the D Dam! https://map.dfg.ca.gov/fishing/?stockid=5284  We have trout there too this week. I have caught alot of nice LMB there! And its a good place to learn your Kayak!

😂😂😂 I've thought about doing that at night, would be hilarious, but probably not worth whatever ticket I would end up getting lmao ill attatchment the picture of the little guy I caught lol only the second bass I've got the on the kayak. I can feel the addiction brewing!
