I am looking for a "new" reel. I am looking for a good utility reel. I mostly fish the rocks, but want to be able to hit Halibut, salmon, seabass. You know... everything possible. So far I have narrowed it down to a squidders, jig master, or abu ambassador, or diawa sealine.
I have used the squidders and Jig masters and like 'em. The size of the abu and diawa is appealing.
Budget under 100.
Thanks for all input.

Squidders and Jigmasters by Penn are easy to clean. One thumb screw and the drive plate detaches. If automatic level wind isn't a necessity they are hard to beat.

They are cheap and easy to find that's for sure. I know most party boats use them. My current reel has a level wind and it's gonna be missed if I go with the Penn.

Jig Master gets my vote. Easy to work on and parts are easy to find. Plus,  if you like to  trick out your stuff you, can find some cool billet parts from Newelle and Accurate and a few other companies.

Penn 209 is an old school level wind. You could probably buy a dozen of em with a hundred spot and be the envy of vintage fish hipsters everywhere.

The reel of my youth!  I got 3 of them sitting in the to-be-repaired box, but somehow they never get repaired.

What rod you going to pair it with?  If you take a Penn Jigmaster and plop it onto a Medium Light rod, it's not going to be a good fit.  The larger reels may be bomb proof, but they also wear your arm out faster.  Personally I prefer something lighter, level wind, and with a clicker.  Drifting bait for butts, WSB, etc you will want to use freespool with clicker so the fish can run with your bait before you decide to set the hook.  At under 100$ it's tough though, but a few options that are close that I use are the Shimano Cardiff 400 (401 if lefty), or say an Abu Garcia C3 or Record.

My only bait casting rod is a single piece 7 ft MH Ugly Stik tigershark. I like this rod because it's pretty indestructible, and fairly cheap. Works great for heavy structure, I know it's not the best but it's what I have for now. I will eventually build my inventory for targeted species. But like I said it's what I have. It's proven to be pretty sensitive when fishing braid.

Scored a Penn Peer 109 and 209. Both older and in great shape. 60 for the pair. Now just need to find a good spinning reel for cheap, and I am all set.
109 is a bit goofy, handle spins in free spool. This was intentional from Penn. Their manual says "new improved free spool action allows handle to spin while casting" pretty goofy.

That 209 on a light action rod used to be the ultimate calico bass rod in So. Cal.

Yup.  Just got back from India on Saturday, after a 2 week trip.  Heading back in 2 weeks, for another 2 week trip.  It's getting tiring ...

I have had a Sealine for several years now and it has been my favorite go to workhorse. Reliable, strong, and reasonably priced. I've caught all the species you mentioned on it. Before I bought it I researched online, and apparently it's a SoCal favorite for seabass and yellowtail. I give em both thumbs up  :smt023

I have always loved Shimano and said I wouldn't stray but I needed a cheap line counter reel and Okuma came out the winner for me.  Their Cold Water series are my new favorite reel for trolling, jigging, and anything else really.  It's pretty solid and all I do is a quick rinse after ocean use with no problems so far.  After I bought one, my brother saw me use it and he bought his own, then a few weeks later he bought another to replace his second rod.  By no means is it really "cheap" but it's under a $100 and the price keeps going up so I might pick up another soon.
