My JAOTY/JDOTY/DOTY 2015 Experience

The  2015 JAOTY, JDOTY & DOTY competitions paved the path and added inspiration to get me and my boys out OTW. It allowed us to set goals for 2015 that I'm proud to say were achieved.

Our top three 2015 Goals

*Lucas my 10 year old got his first ever kayak fish for JAOTY.

*Noah my 12 year old got his first ab at the ripe age of 11 for JDOTY

*Harvested my first 10 inch ab and also 17 more abs all over 9 inches for the season.

Others worth noting were my PB ling at 34.5", 16 lb and  my first fish speared in Mexican waters.

I also got to meet some new dive buddies and pretty much had someone to dive with on every outing.

If you have little ones I strongly encourage you to get them out there. It's a lot of work and requires lots of patients but the rewards are priceless.

Great perspective and report, CdM - thanks for posting that.

I'm working on getting my son to dive with me. He will suit up and swim around a bit, but has not gone for the dive part yet.

Congrats Bro! It was an intense experience, for sure!

It's nice to see anyone with PB or firsts of any species.  I bet the smile lasted all the way home and that's a long drive.
