Rollins lake Roundup Fish & Chill on Sat April 23 2016 Fri-sun camping + fun

May not make it this year. Looks like I may be guiding elsewhere.

Damn, I am going to be there at the Peninsula campground with my family,,, the FOLLOWING weekend

You guys take lots of pictures and let me know how to fish that place! I've been there a few times just dunking the kids, but have never fished it!!

I want to give this lake another try. I almost didn't get in before the gate closed last year. I hope I can get an earlier start up the hill this time.

We are planning on making it, but still in the air 

Going to Greenhorn tonight, tuesday(4-5-16) 5:30 pm to check over and hunt 18" Crappie!!!! Join me? off the water by 8pm (or earlier if no fish) get a jump and show and tell of suspect crappie traffic areas and a better chance on play day

Oh snap ! , this is the same weekend of cool April nites, and my brother is bringing his 32' up this year for the cruise and also to try and sell it. Oh well, bros before fishes....

Well, get exited 'cause the water is clearing... not quite warm enough for the spawning activity to start. Was able "just" with trolling crankbaits to get 10 bass 8-15" and one catfish (attacked my little crankbait!) will post up some pictures tomorrow. The creek areas are clearing faster than the main lake. fish are stacked in 20' of water, not biting, but all over the screen. Water has to warm a bit to get the crappie moving into the trees...

Clarity 2' to 10' depending on area. Surface temp was 68 but just 2' below the surface it's 45.... Lake is full... Pollen thick on the water!!!! both creeks are running! the little one sounds awesome. was a great evening on the lake. Only me and one powerboat.

Clarity getting better! Trees in the water. As temperatures rise, so will the Crappie! Should be perfect conditions come game day

Nice report Ron. The water is looking better. I think it should be in the upper 50's low 60's for the event. Fish should be on the chew.

Surface temps are 61-62 deg... Getting there... the Bass are on fire! 20 bass landed last night. got to be a nuisance! Couldn't paddle 10 ft without a bass 8-17" hitting my crankbaits. tried in vain to get a crappie bite. they are there but still bunched and not eating. perch aren't even hitting worms yet. Next week looks to be warm and will get those temps up. Might be a grind to get the Crappie so bring your "A" game and wade threw those pesky spotted bass!!!

There will be trout! Stocking the lake tues-thurs next week! Gonna be a rockin weekend with fish for all!!! I caught one trout last night and they are stocking again next week!!!

I won't be camping this time, but I am hoping to still make it out on Saturday to fish.
