Try a tractor supply or implement store. We use the disks from plows that are smooth, not wavy like above. Work killer for bbq's and whatnot. Also, if you have any acquaintances who farm, ask them. They might have some laying around for free. Put a ring on the bottom, about 3/4 the diameter of the Disk to keep it flat on the burner, and to hold in the heat. I just weld handles to the disk and forego the ring around the outside. I dont deep fry though. Think big wok. The disks work great as bases for stands, or seats, or whatever too.
Sorry for the interruption.

Got a whole pile of them at home.  +1 that they work GREAT for seat bases, pole bases, etc...  My fav. is using them as a base under vintage metal tractor seats for bar stools & welding stools, etc...  <threadjack - out>

Hey fool,
What happened to the disc you were going to make me a few years back?
It's all good, had one made by a friend in fresno, he used welding hammers for the handle and bent them at a 90 deg angle so as to not get too hot, also allows you to hang on fence so it can cool and not collect moisture. I'll try to add a pic after I dig it out

:smt044.. I don't even like you! Notice the square tube I use for handles, the air flows thru so they don't get too hot. :smt002
