I know this isn't a kayak fishing topic but I'm in desperate need some advice and or an option for housing in the Bay Area preferred South Bay San Jose area and that's not going to break the bank, I recently took a job in San Jose and commute home to Sacramento every weekend and sometimes throughout the week. This is only temp 6-12 months until I get my transfer back to Sacramento and I am working most of the time so I'm hardly around, I have a budget of $1,000-$1,500 a month I can provide references and have job security. If anyone knows of anything or anyone renting a room or something please let me know or pass this along. My corporate housing is about to finish up and I need to figure this out, Thanks in advance.

Have you tried one of the extended stay hotels?  I've stayed in them before. It's OK. You can call down for maid service when it gets messy. Stove, oven, fridge, cable TV. Complimentary breakfast from 6-9!

Try the local sherifs I heard they have houses they rent because they cant afford to live in the high priced areas. They rent a bed or a room I think  and live out of area when not on shift days.

I have a neighbor who has a room he sometimes rents. It's in the hills above Lexington Reservoir, a very scenic spot, convenient to highway 17, and the house is the best one in the neighborhood. I believe it is currently not occupied and the price is reasonable. If you might be interested, PM me so that I'll remember to check on it when I get home...
I don't like stuff that sucks.
