Where out of santa cruz harbor can I spearfish...without too long of a paddle?  what about other places in the general area?

you can spearfish at cowells for butts but all you need is snorkel and fins. leave the tank as they can be shallow. you might get addicted to freediving: )

if you want to tank it, go down to monterey and jump in at lovers 3rd or otter cove.

Just find some remaining kelp beds in that general area, should get you some rockfish if you scuba there.
