So, I decided to take advantage of a rainy day by building a new storage rack for my kayaks.  I have limited space and a new boat so I scrounged around on the interweb and found a really easy PVC rack that is surprisingly strong!  It's made of 1.5" schedule 40 PVC and t-fittings.  I still want to put either pipe insulation or pool noodles over the cross supports but this thing to less than 30 minutes to build and cost $65!

Did the same 6 months ago. Used pipe insulation. Stand was overkill but works well.

eBay.  Buy a pair of J racks for < $30.  Bolt them on some planks or scrap metal.  Easy to carry.  Easy to move.  Light weight.

The copper piece.   As nice as it is, must have cost a pretty penny.

The beauty of this rack is that it will hold both my boats and possibly a third.

Nice.  Some Lockable Casters added on would be nice to move the storage rack around.

Since you are limited with space.  Why not store it on the backyard grass?  You will need a kayak cover for protection.
