Got a late start but still got on the water at around 1000 hrs. with Danglin. Nice day with a little fog to start with clearing in the afternoon. Just passed the narrows when I hooked into a nice LMB that had a tag attached. The fish measured 18" and since it had a tag I put him on the stringer. Any suggestions on what to do with the tag and where to send it.
I'll let Danglin tell his tale. The only other fish landed was a under size LMB which was C&R.

There is a flyer in the tackle shop at Del Valle with instructions on where to report tagged fish.

Nice LMB!

Kool day...Really :cold....Then became really nice....lost a 3-4lb LMB @ the same time Frank got his, ( I was to busy on the radio and not busy enough with the hook set ) Spit it right back @ me. That let me know the bass might be ready for some artificails, and a 1 1/2lb Smally took a 4" drop shot..That was it except for meeting SF Alex and his dad out there on a Zodiac...Nice to meet ya and nice try on cold tough conditions. I've got to get into AOTY, that small mouth was 8 points a inch :smt011....Danglin

Glad to have met both of you. Nice fish, Frank.
Danglin- are you off the hook at the house?
Good luck in the tourney.

Next time we meet, I'll be back in the cozy confines of my kayak.

nice fishing fellas!

No money worth on the tagged bass :smt011....Fred Savage and I caught one each last year and kept it alive and took back to the dock. The employees just took down the info on the tag and we both released the bass - with the tag still on - they were both around the 15 to 18 inch mark. I believe they turn in the info to the DFG for  study.

Nice report to accompany the pics.I wish I could have had half that action last!
D~ those smallies got a big heart dont they!

F~that looks like a florida strain LMB! their head/jaws are bigger, bodies are thicker/heavier and look tougher that our purebreed cali-bass.

fishing trips are always better when they comply!
thx for the pics&port...keep em' coming
