I've looked it up but couldn't find anything.  Does anyone know of any shops that sell live minnows near Discovery Bay?

It's back tracking a bit for you Won but you could always get them from Coyote Bait & Tackle.  Worst case scenario I suppose.

you could try castro valley sportsmen's center if you're willing to drive through 880. dont know what time they open in the morning, their yelp page says 5am on weekends.  Otherwise, the closest is in stockton or oakley.

Check gotcha bait in Oakley. Also there's a gas station in Tracy that carry live bait.i think it's a Valero
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Gotcha bait in Oakley has live minnows. It's the closest to disco bay.

I believe that is at the Tracy blvd and the 205 freeway intersection. Close to Rivers end boat ramp in Tracy about 10 min away. Its a good kayaking area.
