Wish a had a pic for ya right now but I am to busy enjoying a burnt almond cup cake. I prefer the cake version but this will do ! They are on alum rock avenue in san jose. Try uummmmm out .

UUmmm . strawberry ring. Sounds delicious. Spoiled on strawberries here in Salinas. Driscol's has the best strawberries anywhere. Well, that's if you like mutant strawberries.  . They are like the size of apples here.

Take advantage of Peter's as long as you can. Who knows how much longer he will be there. Ol man is getting up there and age and I read he had some issues with employee's. And you know if he sells... it never tastes the same.

LOL! We always have the Dicks vs. Peter's debate at our house. Dicks uses sliced almonds vs. Peters using chopped. Other than that, pretty much the same.

I'm pretty sure the strawberry rings use Driscolls monster sized berries.

I used to work at the Mercedes dealership on Capitol expressway when I was younger as a lot attendant and dick used to bring us a cake when he'd bring his car by. Class act, great cake. Peters Burnet almond pumpkin cake is my absolute favorite tbough!

Normally I am not a fan of cakes. But peters cake is fluffy and light.

 Missing San jose...Sheez ! you talking to me ?    I lived up the street from Mark's hot dogs. My mom would wait in the line for the drive in across the street while me and my dad walked across the street to pick up hotdogs for the show. That's when they had playgrounds at drive ins . . On school days I would get up 15 minutes early to run up the hill to peter's to get fresh baked donuts before I rode the bus to piedmont middle school.

Walked into Peter's bakery once just to check it out. A coworker insisted that it was really good. Didn't buy anything but it did remind of an Italian bakery in the City.
