Peer Support Group for VA got back to us, requested a trip on Feb 7, 4 -5 participants. this is Superbowl Sunday. Please let us know if you can make it. Would try to be off water by mid-afternoon. Launching from Bridge Bay Marina. http://www.bridgebayhouseboats.com/

Not a big event, probably just supply sandwiches, chips and soda, told them we would fish 4-5 hours weather permitting and not to cold. Stay close to Marina, this first time out.

Thinking OTW around 1000 - 10:30, lunch 12:30 to 1:00 fish a couple more hours, be done by 3:00 or 3:30.

Thanks,
Bryan

Bumping this again, have a couple volunteers committed, please let us know if you can make it, small event but would appreciate a couple more volunteers, one on one is best for the veterans.

Thanks,
Bryan

I'm in. I've got rods and tackle covered too for any that might need it. Is headwaters bringing boats this time or are we bringing extras?

Thanks Jesse, not sure on the kayaks yet but as in the past I am sure Headwaters will likely help us out. If not I will have two kayaks available, would only need two or three more.
Plan right now is a box lunch, sandwich, chips, water, soda, find some coffee there maybe.

If volunteers could bring something to drink, possibly a few waters or six pack of soda or bag of chips, should be enough. I will work on sandwiches, may be able to get them donated. Will talk with Marina they probably have coffee available.

I just got a call from the CDFW reservoir biologist for the Shasta area.  He wants to help with HOW, and he has a group of guys (some with bass boats) who also want to help out with HOW.

I'll send eastonkayaker his contact info.

Is this event going forward still ?, want can I do to help ?
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

The first outing of the year went well. Thank you beenfishin, scud, angler dangler and grimkeeper, (Ben, Mike, Bryan and Jesse) for getting the veterans out on the water and finding some fish. Weather turned out very nice, 78 degrees up here today.

Next scheduled event is May 13 at Lake California although we may do some smaller outings before then.

If you would like to help out, will post here and also have a FB group for Shasta CA HOW volunteers, you can join here https://www.facebook.com/groups/1683531675222383/

Good to hear Bryan, the fans turned on at my house about 8:30 am and was afraid you would all get blown off the water.
