Hello All,

I'm Brian McGovern, my wife is Heather, and I am as much of a forum, kayaking, and fishing newbie as you will ever find.  I'm excited for my new adventure in kayaking this wonderful area we live in.  I am the proud owner of two new pro angler 14s (2014 for my wife & a 2016 for me).  Feeling like a kid on Xmas that just wants to go play, but knows safety is key when playing in Mother Nature's sandbox, so I haven't taken them out yet.

I look forward to learning about kayak fishing, meeting everyone, and just having fun!

btw-sorry no pic, haven't figured it out from my phone yet. Like I said, newbie.

Welcome!!!

Are you the Brian who is a friend of Kris Cortez??

Kris told me you would be signing up soon...any friend of Kris is a friend of mine!

Shoot me a PM and I can connect you with some guys down here in Monterey to get you out on the water once these winter storms calm down!

Sincerely,

Jim

Welcome! As a fellow newb, you'll find a lot of good help here, but nothing helps like getting on the water and getting some experience. Get your safety essentials squared away (PFD, immersion gear, radio, self rescue practice) and get on the water! If you can hook up with a more experienced member, all the better.
