Job Description 

The Position: Director of Marketing


As a member of St. Croix’s Leadership Team, the Director of Marketing will lead multiple functions including product promotions, catalog design and production, website, print and web advertising, social media engagement, management of the Pro-Staff Team, and the coordination of St. Croix’s presence at sports shows. This is an opportunity to further develop the already incredible lifestyle image of St. Croix.  Responsibilities of the Director of Marketing will also include:

•Overseeing the St. Croix advertising budget for print, electronic, and video communications
•Coordinating and monitoring all social media campaigns and interactions
•Organizing the production of St. Croix Factory Store and Web Store presentations
•Collaborating with St. Croix’s creative advertising agency on projects such as: 
◦ Catalog design, layout, and production
◦ Website content, layout and updating
◦ Print and electronic ad materials
◦  Press releases
•Managing the St. Croix retailer co-op advertising program
• Actively engaging outdoor writers to deepen their knowledge of St. Croix products
•Partnering with St. Croix’s public relations agency on electronic press releases and key writer events and conferences
•Other duties as required to support the marketing of St. Croix products

To qualify for consideration for the Director of Marketing, St. Croix is requesting the following qualifications:

•Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field.  Masters’ degree preferred.
•5-7 years of experience in brand management (preferably within the outdoor industry) at a corporate level is required
•Proficiency in MS Office applications and Adobe Illustrator are required
•Proven experience managing budgets, media, events and promotions
•Knowledge of retail and trade channel distribution is preferred
• Ability to travel as required by the needs of the position

The Director of Marketing will be located at the home of St. Croix Rods, which is Park Falls, WI.
