LAKE SONOMA Lake Conditions? ? Anyone

Anyone know current lake conditions at Lake Sonoma? Muddy, Stain, worth fishing? Thinking about taking the tin can up there.

I was there on Saturday morning.  I tried to launch my kayak at Yorty Creek.  The lake level was so low that I couldn't even get to it without slogging through a bunch of mud.  The lake itself was about 20 - 40 feet of mud away from the concrete boat launch. 

I got part way there and gave up after almost getting stuck in the mud. 

Sorry, I can't tell you what the water is like.  I didn't make it that far.

Ricci, the water is stained but still green where water comes in. The main lake is still pretty clean.
This is what it was like last week, pretty certain it's still the same.

Are the ramps still open to launch from?

The main ramp by the bridge should be okay. I've never seen it out of water.

Did I hear that they were having break ins at the parking lot by the ramp near the bridge?

Making my game plan for 2016 since my 2015 was a 'not going fishing' year for me.

Hasnt turned over yet. Steelhead are still 40-60 FOW and very dispersed. best bet may be up the creek arms they might be staging there. I have had no luck at all this fall. Lake should turn over in the next couple of weeks. Mickfish nail a bunch of LMBs yesterday on the left corner of the dam. I might try tomorrow but I think Mendo is a better bet right now!

I'm down to bring the boat up to Sonoma.  It's part of my Master Plan for 2016.  Got some stuff in werks for 2016 which includes some OTW time ... especially Sonoma!

Its not that bad of a drive. Very doable with my boat in tow.

My boat tows fine with my truck so we should be good to go!
